CCHL Recap | Canadians and Colts Win Tuesday Night

 

Ottawa, ON – There were two series games that took place Tuesday night. The Carleton Place Canadians went to the Smiths Falls Bears where the Canadians took the game 4-1. The Cornwall Colts went to the Hawkesbury Hawks where the Colts won 3-2.

 

F | Carleton Place 4 Smiths Falls 1

The scoring action started early in the 1st period as Noah Kinloch Varga and Caton Ryan found the net for Carleton Place. Smiths Falls responded in the 2nd period with Lucas Culhane’s goal. However, Carleton Place maintained their lead with goals from Loic Prudhomme and Bill Gourgon. The 3rd period saw no further scoring, solidifying Carleton Place’s win. Aidan Feddema stood tall in net for Carleton Place, making 26 saves, while Dawson Labre made 14 saves for Smiths Falls.

F | Cornwall 3 Hawkesbury 2

The 1st period saw goals from Jacob McLellan for Cornwall and Maxime Charbonneau for Hawkesbury, setting the stage for an intense matchup. In the 2nd period, Felix Beauchemin scored for Hawkesbury, but Adam Walker quickly responded for Cornwall, maintaining the tight scoreline. The decisive goal came in the 3rd period, courtesy of Calvin Little for Cornwall. Both goaltenders showcased remarkable skill, with Cornwall’s Xander Miceli making 30 saves and Hawkesbury’s Dimitri Pelekos making an impressive 47 saves.
